Problem
Frontgate is the recognized leader in catalog and online shopping for home environment with various subsidiary titles ranging from outdoor furniture to indoor home furnishings and accents. Each year they try and offer a different design style to each of their various catalogs. They asked to have a fresh look that felt less traditional and more hip to the younger generations. They also wanted to drive people to the website.
Solution
Research showed that most of their customers shopped based on pictures so we emphasized on rich and colorful photos and took a large step back on sell copy. Each book had its own unique design and typeface, but carried the same visual approach. We also focused on pushing the customers to the web for more information and a larger selection of colors, accents and accessories.
Impression
Spring and summer sales increased and web traffic boomed.
