Problem
The Midwest Comic Book Museum showcases graphic novels, art, collectibles and movie props. The purpose of this campaign is to capture the quirkiness and spirit of comic books.
Solution
Three stylized billboards sequentially rotate every quarter until the museum opens. The first teases people that geeks are among us. The second billboard pays homage to classic superhero stances. People around the city will begin to see costumed characters walking in the streets, eating at restaurants and casually reading newspapers on park benches. Lastly, as the museum opens, the outdoor signage are placed along highways to help direct traffic to the museum.
Impression
Widespread enthusiasm and high volume of email traffic. With Google’s intricate search people began seeing the museum campaign online. Shortly after, people contacted me regarding the possibility of a museum coming to Cleveland. I still receive similar emails and gladly deny such existence.
