Problem
American Water Works, Inc. is a company of subsidiaries that manages municipal water and wastewater systems. The original 1998 annual report did not showcase their tremendous success and acquisition. Instead, they focused on making the letter to the shareholders a primary concern.
Solution
With an emphasis on the strategy to become successful, the newly redesigned annual report highlighted all their past year’s achievements. The message now matches the original annual report’s copy. The story discusses the importance of clean water, no matter the venue. With lush full color images and a nice warm financial section, the annual report speaks success.
Impression
Along with the accompanied interactive annual report I successfully sold a client on doing a digital conversion of their printed financial report.
