Problem
525,600 Americans die from coronary heart disease each year. The KSU department of Biological Sciences is widely respected for its research and education. When they needed a simple poster for a summer workshop they turned to the Visual Communication Design department for help. What was once a senior design project now turned into a useful education tool. The purpose for the workshop was to raise awareness in high schools and make the learning process easier to understand.
Solution
Working with a cardiology professor at the KSU department of Biological Sciences became a fantastic opportunity to deliver a simplified, yet fun poster.
Impression
The poster became an instant success, resulting in an easy way for students to quickly understand how the heart works.
